Abstract

Abstract The teaching and learning process of science, especially physics, will be meaningful if the teaching and learning process is appropriate with the nature of science, it means that learning physics is not only through the collection of facts, principles, laws, and theories, but also involves the process of knowledge is obtained. The learning process is beneficial in the skills of the students’ inquiry, such as increasing social interaction between the students, giving the students the opportunity to do activities directly, guiding the students to develop scientific vocabulary, encouraging the development of problem solving skills, helping cognitive growth, improving attitudes towards science, and helping the students to build mental images from new ideas. The type of research used is experimental research. The research design used nonequivalent control group design. In determining the place of research using the purposive sampling area method. The research was conducted in SMAN 1 Purwoharjo in the even semester of the 2018/2019 academic year. The competencies and indicators of inquiry skills that will be used are: (1) observation (2) investigation (3) exploration (4) skills to find something new. The analysis technique used the Independent Sample T-Test using the SPSS version 23 program, which is used to analyze the effect of the virtual laboratory assisted inquiry model on the skills of high school student inquiry. Based on the results of this research, it is known that the virtual laboratory inquiry model significantly have effects to the skills of high school students’ inquiry. Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal UN fisika SMA pada materi medan magnet. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas XII MIPA SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Jember. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes tertulis yang terdiri atas lima soal UN materi medan magnet yang dimodifikasi dalam bentuk soal uraian. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, presentase rata-rata keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal Ujian Nasional (UN) Fisika SMA pada materi medan magnet sebagai berikut: tahap menganalisis sebesar 33.13%, tahap mengevaluasi sebesar 29.77%, dan tahap mengkreasikan sebesar 21.05%. Tahap menganalisis memiliki presentase yang besar sehingga menunjukkan siswa mampu menguraikan informasi (diketahui dan ditanya) serta langkah-langkah penyelesaian soal yang diberikan. Sedangkan tahap mengkreasikan memiliki presentase yang rendah sehingga menunjukkan siswa tidak terbiasa memeriksa kembali jawaban sesuai data yang diketahui dengan langkah-langkah yang runtut

Abstract

Abstract This development research aims to produce physics interactive learning materials in heat and thermo topic, insightful HOTS (High Order Thinking Skill) that can enhance the literacy science ability of students. The background of this research is the low literacy science ability of senior high school students/MA. The research design used was Nieveen’s research design which consisted of three stages, namely preliminary research, prototyping stage, and assessement stage. The instruments used in this research were validation sheet and literacy science test. The results of expert validation retrieved that physics interactive learning materials insightful HOTS valid constructs and valid content. Based on development test results of the data analysis concluded: (1) the validity of physics interactive learning materials, insightful HOTS was at valid category with an average score of valid constructs was 4.17 and average score of valid content was 4, (2) the effectiveness of physics interactive learning materials in heat and thermo topic, insightful HOTS to improve students’ literacy science skill showed that the average of N-Gain score was 0.59 which was in the medium category, so the physics interactive learning materials in heat and thermo topic, insightful HOTS was effective in improving literacy science skill. Abstract

Extremely low frequency magnetic field (ELF) is a part of the electromagnetic spectrum with range of 0-300 Hz of frequency and non ionizing characteristics of radiation. Nowadays, ELF magnetic fields are widely used in various fields, for example in the fields of medicine, agriculture, and food. In the field of food, ELF magnetic fields can be used as a preservation of materials that are easily damaged (decayed), one of which is agricultural product. Edamame is a top commodity in Jember that tends to be unresistant to damage during storage, especially to decomposing if stored at room temperature. This study aims to determine the effect of ELF magnetic field exposure on the value of edamame pH on day 4, day 7, and day 10 after harvest. This study used 9 samples each for the control and experimental groups. The experimental group was given exposure to ELF magnetic fields with an intensity of 1000 µT for 60 minutes. The results showed that exposure to ELF magnetic fields affected the pH of edamame. The pH value in the control group was lower than the experimental group, as indicated by the pH value of the control group during the measurement decreased to 5,93, while the edamame pH in the experimental group was still above 6 Key word: Edamame, ELF magnetic field, pH

Abstract

Abstract The objectives of this study are: 1) developing sound wave physics module based on REACT for class XI IPA, 2) testing the validation of sound wave physics module based on REACT for class XI IPA, 3) testing the effectiveness of sound wave physics module based on REACT for class XI IPA. This study uses research and development procedures according to Nieven (2006) which includes 3 stages, namely: (1) Preliminary reseach (2) Prototyping stage, and (3) Assessment stage. The instruments used in this study were validation sheets and formative tests in the form of a description of the pre-test and post-test questions. Based on the results of the expert validation analysis, the category of very valid validity with reliability coefficient of 95.71% and the results of the user validation analysis obtained the category of validity is very valid with reliability coefficient of 92.86%. The results of the field test analysis obtained an average N-Gain score of 0.71 so that the module was declared effective to be used in learning on sound wave material for class XI IPA. Abstract

Abstract Teaching materials are systematically arranged materials or materials that teachers and students use in teaching and learning activities. The teaching material that will be developed by the researcher is comic, this is because students are more interested in teaching materials such as comics. The use of Smarthphone on learning is still not applied to students of MA Al-Misri Rambipuji, this allows researchers to develop physics-based comics teaching materials Android. The Android-based comics have the advantage of attracting students learning, easy to operate, efficient because they do not need paper to print, and are easily carried everywhere. The development of this Android-based physics comic is done on the temperature and heat material because this material is quite difficult to learn because it is abstract that can create different thoughts for the students. The aim of the study was to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the material of Android-based comic physics on learning. This type of research is development research using NIEVEEN development model which includes, 1), preliminary research, 2) prototyping stage, 3) assessment stage. User validation is done by physics teacher in MA Al-Misri Rambipuji with an average score of 3.64 with a very valid category. The implementation was done by observation by two observer who showed during two meetings had an average score of 3.62 < score ≤ 4.00 meaning that learning can be carried out very well. The average pretests and postest field test in class XI IPA 2 is 24.74 and 64.74 with N-Gain value of 0.54. The analysis of the pretests and Postest values shows moderate criteria which means that Android-based physics comic-teaching materials are included in effective products to improve student learning outcomes. Abstract

Abstract Student worksheet based on the guided inquiry with the snakes and ladders game is one of innovation teaching materials that is used as an alternative learning in the class .This study aims to knowing the the influence of students worksheet based on the guided inquiry with the snakes and ladders game towards student motivation dan learning outcomes .This study research is an experimental research with a population of all students in a class of xi mipa senior high schools 4 jember , and the sample used is students of class XI MIPA 1 and XI MIPA 3.The result of this study shows that after implementing learning using LKS based on guided inquiry with the snakes and ladders game the average of student motivation and learning outcomes reaches 80,44% and 91,29, this result shows that a student motivated to learn after and their learning outcomes increase. Abstract

Abstrack: This study aims to analyze creative thinking skills and studentlearning activities in learning chemical materials in everyday life using theProject Learning model. This research design uses "Control GroupDesign". The sample of this research is 11th grade students of NaturalSciences Tegaldlimo Banyuwangi State High School, 11th grade NaturalSciences as a control and 11th grade Natural Sciences as a group ofexperiments conducted learning using Project Learning on chemicals ineveryday life. Variables examined include students' creative thinking skillsand student learning activities. as indicators of creative thinking abilitiesinclude fluency thinking skills, flexible thinking skills, original thinkingskills (Originality), and elaboration skills (Elaboration). In accordance withthe learning model Project Learning, then as an indicator of studentlearning activities, among others, involvement in designing, involvement ingroup discussions, and involvement in preparing projects. Measurement ofstudents' creative thinking abilities is done by doing a post test, whilemeasuring student learning activities is done through observation using achecklist. The results of this study prove that learning through the projectbased learning model significantly (p <0.05) can improve fluency andflexibility in thinking, also increase student participation in discussion andpracticum activities. But significantly (p> 0.05) unable to improve theoriginal thinking skills and detailed skills and the character of disciplineand responsibility.Keywords: Project Based Learning Model, Creative Thinking Ability,Student Learning Activities

Abstract

Abstract Based on interviews with one of the SMAN 1 Sampit physics teachers, teaching materials used are still less related to the surrounding environment, while the 2013 curriculum requires contextual learning so that learning is more meaningful. Central Kalimantan has a variety of local wisdom, one of which is traditional games. Basic knowledge of traditional Central Kalimantan traditional games, has never been associated with physics learning. Based on this problem, the development of a local wisdom-based module is needed. This development research using Nieveen's development model consists of three stages, namely preliminary research, prototyping stage, and assessment stage, the purpose of this study is to describe student learning outcomes after using local wisdom-based physics modules. Field trials were conducted in class X MIPA B SMAN 1 Sampit with a total of 33 students. Student learning outcomes consisted of pretest and posttest scores, the average pretest score was 23.64 and the posttest was 72.67, with an average difference of 49.03. Learning outcomes analyzed using N-gain got the medium criteria with a result of 0.65%. Physics Module based on traditional game of Central Kalimantan can improve student learning outcomes and is suitable for use in physics learning material momentum and impulses. Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research is to describing the validity of e-module flow virtual simulation based on macromedia flash. This research were developed by IDI (Instructional Development Institute) which has three major stages of the system approach, namely the stage of defining, developinng, and evaluating. Validation is done by the validator,the resuslts of the validaty analysis show that e-module flow virtual simulation based on macromedia flash included in valid criteria with the average overall aspect (Va) is 3.5.
